A trip to Ubud, the culture heartland of Bali is an excellent way to get an understanding of the local art and culture. We will see the traditional barong dance at Batubulan, then on to Celuk famous for it's gold and silver smiths; then Mas village, world renowned for its fine wood carving. A visit to a local family compound in Singapadu will give us a new perspective on the way of life of this friendly people. Afterward we will see the best of Balinese painting: classical, native, traditional and modern style in Ubud. Our last stop Wanara Wana monkey forest where live dozens of long tailed macaque considered sacred by the locals.
